How much does Capilano Suspension Bridge cost?

Ticket Cost
The short version: the same walk carries two prices. The park sells timed-entry admission in Canadian dollars at its own gate, and GetYourGuide sells that admission in US dollars, which is what every booking widget on this site quotes. The full gate table is in the strip below. Before you pay anything, read whether it is worth the money and look at the free bridge on the other side of the valley. A good share of the people who ask me about the price are really asking whether to pay at all.

What the park charges at its own gate

Adult admission is CAD $76.95. Seniors 65 and over pay CAD $71.95, youth aged 13 to 17 pay CAD $49.95, and children aged 6 to 12 pay CAD $29.95. Children of 5 and under go in free, with the ticket issued when you arrive. Anyone under 15 has to be with someone 18 or over. I watched that adult number climb through four summers of working inside the park, and I have stopped pretending it is a small sum.

The park sells timed entry and recommends buying online rather than turning up and queuing for a slot. That is the part most people get wrong: the queue at the gate is for tickets, not for the bridge.

What a tour price bundles that a gate ticket does not

The GetYourGuide listings are quoted per person in US dollars. The plain park ticket is $57 and is admission only, timed, valid one day from first activation, with no transport and no guide. Everything above that number is buying you a seat and a driver.

The cost of getting yourself there

Parking at the park is CAD $9.00 for three hours, and the meters take credit cards only, though cash and debit work at the ticket agents. A rideshare from downtown runs roughly CAD $25–30 each way, so a couple can spend more on the journey than one child pays to get in. The seasonal free shuttle from Canada Place, the Hyatt Regency and the Blue Horizon Hotel takes that line out of the sum entirely, and it is the single biggest lever on the total — see how to get there.

Two adults and two children, worked through

Two adults at the gate is CAD $153.90. Two children aged 6 to 12 add CAD $59.90, which puts the family at CAD $213.80 before anyone has eaten or parked. Three hours in the car park takes it to CAD $222.80. Swap one of those children for a 13-year-old and the youth rate of CAD $49.95 pushes the day to CAD $242.80. If the shuttle is running and you use it, that is the whole bill; if you rideshare both ways, add another CAD $50 to CAD $60.

Insider tip

If the free shuttle is running on your dates, the plain park ticket is almost always the cheaper way in and a combo tour stops making financial sense. If it is not running, the seven-hour Grouse Mountain day is doing two attractions and both transfers for one price, and the arithmetic flips.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a day pass at Capilano Suspension Bridge?

There is no separate day pass — one timed-entry ticket covers the whole park for that day. At the gate that is CAD $76.95 for an adult, CAD $71.95 for a senior 65+, CAD $49.95 for youth 13–17 and CAD $29.95 for a child 6–12, with under-6s free. The GetYourGuide ticket for the same admission is quoted at $57 per person, and it covers every attraction inside the gate.

Is it cheaper to buy Capilano tickets online?

Buying ahead is about the time slot rather than a discount — the park recommends booking timed entry online instead of queuing. Because the gate price is in Canadian dollars and the GetYourGuide price is in US dollars, compare the two on the day you book, since the exchange rate moves. All six options are here.

What does a family of four pay at Capilano?

Two adults and two children aged 6 to 12 come to CAD $213.80 at the gate, or CAD $222.80 with three hours of parking at CAD $9.00. A 13-year-old counts as youth at CAD $49.95, which takes the same family to CAD $242.80.

Is there a cheaper suspension bridge in Vancouver?

Yes. Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge is free, and if you have a car and a spare afternoon it is a genuinely good substitute. I have set out what Capilano gives you that Lynn Canyon does not on the free alternative page.
