My verdict: this is the splurge, and it is honest about being one. Four hours, a 30-minute flight over the harbour and the North Shore, then a shuttle to Capilano and admission. You are buying the flight; the bridge comes along with it. It is not suitable for people with mobility impairments and it takes no pets. If the view from above is not the point for you, the plain ticket puts you in the same park.
How the day runs
You meet at the Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre, Unit #1 Burrard Landing, 1055 Canada Place. Worth knowing before you go looking for it: the flight centre is at water level by the sea wall, below the Olympic Cauldron, which is not where people expect a terminal to be. Parking there is included, and the departure depends on the harbour behaving — the seasonal hours page is worth a look if your dates fall in the shoulder months.
The flight is 30 minutes over the downtown skyline, Stanley Park, the Lions Gate Bridge and the North Shore mountains — the same mountains the bridge sits under, which is the reason pairing the two works. Then a round-trip shuttle to Capilano and park admission, which buys you the same three engineered walks everyone else in the park is doing. There is a digital tour-guide app with optional narration rather than a person talking at you, which some people prefer and some people find flat. Four hours all in, which makes it the shortest of the guided combinations.

Beyond that: anyone uneasy in a small aircraft over water, and anyone whose reason for the day is the rainforest rather than the view of it. The Capilano half is exactly the same park you get on the standard ticket, at a fraction of this price, so if the flight is not the draw the maths does not work.
